About me
Chandan Kudupu - Counselling Psychologist & Special Educator
I've always found joy in spending time with children. Their curiosity, honesty, creativity, and resilience have taught me as much as I hope I've taught them. What began as a career in special education gradually became a deeply meaningful journey of understanding how children learn, grow, and make sense of the world around them.
Working closely with children and adolescents, I came to see that learning challenges are often intertwined with emotional wellbeing. Difficulties such as ADHD, anxiety, behavioural concerns, executive functioning challenges, and academic stress rarely exist in isolation. This realization inspired me to look beyond learning itself and understand the thoughts, emotions, and experiences that shape each young person's journey.
To deepen my understanding, I completed my Master's in Psychology and trained in evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), TEAM-CBT (Level 2), mindfulness-based interventions, music therapy, and art-based approaches. These experiences have strengthened my belief that meaningful growth comes not from trying to eliminate every difficult thought or feeling, but from developing awareness, self-compassion, and the confidence to move towards what
truly matters.
The Inner Compass reflects this way of working. It is a space where psychology is practical, compassionate, and deeply human. My hope is to support children, adolescents, parents, and young adults in navigating life's challenges with greater clarity, resilience, and confidence, while helping
them build lives that are guided by their strengths, values, and what matters most to them.
